In the queue at a café, all sorts of things can happen — even more than you'd expect. What if I told you that the things that happen in this line could actually help explain some of the strangest phenomena in quantum physics?
A great example of this is quantum superposition. The uncertainty we experience while waiting in line, trying to decide what to order for breakfast, actually has quite a lot in common with this quantum concept.
Below, you’ll find the video I submitted to the "OnZientzia" science communication contest, where I explain exactly how and why these two seemingly unrelated things — choosing breakfast and quantum superposition — are more similar than you'd think.
And the video even won the BasQ Award for "Best Quantum Video", so I’m not the only one who thinks it’s well done ;)
